Construction is solid Sterling Silver 925 which is Plated in 18k Gold, this type of plating is called Micron plating. very similar to Vermille, with the following distinction; Vermeil has a base of sterling silver 925 and a micron level of no less than 2.5 in 10k. All my Silver jewelry is plated in a micron of at least 5 in 18k Gold. This provides a denser layering of gold in a higher Karat therefore, ensuring a rich long lasting luster which will not tarnish or require maintenance.
